Director and Principal Consultant 

Clive is an Australian psychologist specialising in safety leadership and culture. For over two decades he has helped organisations worldwide in mining, oil and gas, construction and utilities build trust, care and psychological safety, embedding practical Safety Differently habits. Creator of the CareFactor program and author of Next Generation Safety Leadership: From Compliance to Care, he translates evidence into tools leaders can use today. Clive coaches at every level, from the boardroom to the shop floor, to lift capability and results.

Managing Director 

Steve turns strategy into human outcomes by building cultures of trust and care. He blends emotional intelligence, data and disciplined execution to help organisations navigate change and shift safety culture. Thriving in dynamic environments, he has led complex change across diverse markets, cultivating teams and coaching leaders to reach their potential. Leading the business and building client partnerships, Steve draws on emotional intelligence, leadership and change to inspire habits that strengthen psychological safety, psychosocial health, open communication and deliver results.

Tanya

Director 

Tanya brings over 14 years with GYST and two decades across government, community and tertiary sectors. With postgraduate training and experience in facilitation, wellbeing, career development, diversity and Mental Health First Aid, she now focuses on corporate governance, quality and oversight. As a director, she pairs business acumen with genuine care, mentoring our team, strengthening client partnerships and providing oversight of tenders and strategic engagements. Her stewardship helps GYST deliver dependable, human-centred work grounded in trust, care and psychological safety.

Head of Operations

Amber leads operations with a clear focus on people, process and service. With over eight years in management and executive roles across Administration, HR and Finance, she builds capable teams and smooth, reliable systems. She drives automation and continuous improvement so projects run on time, on budget and with care. Known for honest, open communication, Amber strengthens trust with clients and colleagues, enabling our psychologists and safety experts to deliver consistent, evidence-based outcomes.

Head of Program Strategy and Innovation 

Gayle designs programs that turn evidence into practical learning that sticks. With more than 30 years in management, including deep experience in vocational education, she blends strategy, instructional design and systems thinking to deliver scalable training that improves safety and performance. She leads platform innovation, streamlines delivery and partners with our psychologists and safety specialists to ensure content is evidence-based and relevant. Known for clarity and care, Gayle builds client relationships and programs that strengthen trust and psychological safety.

Jade

Program Support Specialist 

Jade ensures programs run smoothly from first contact to follow up. With a background in customer service and administrative support across education and corporate, she brings a calm, detail-focused approach to coordination. A former senior manager, she has led teams and strengthened service standards. At GYST she oversees pre and post program logistics, attendance tracking and feedback reporting, building trusted relationships. Known for efficiency and candour, Jade helps our psychologists and facilitators deliver a consistent, caring, high quality client experience.

Mark is an organisational performance and safety leadership expert with over 30 years helping corporate and government teams lift capability and results. With experience across pharmaceutical and heavy manufacturing, he links applied neuroscience, systems thinking and psychology to make evidence practical. He partners with leaders to build accountable teams, constructive safety leadership and clear performance routines. Known for rigorous diagnostics and calm coaching, Mark strengthens trust and care while improving decisions and day-to-day execution.

Jamie is a psychologist and senior facilitator with over 30 years’ experience. Drawing on a clinical psychology foundation and 14 years specialising in organisational work, he helps leaders strengthen trust, care and psychological safety. Jamie has partnered with mining, transport, construction, utilities, manufacturing and service organisations, delivering board briefings, executive coaching and practical workshops. Known for calm, evidence-based guidance and engaging facilitation, he turns research into usable habits that lift safety leadership, safety culture and day-to-day performance.

Psychologist and Senior Program Facilitator

Vanessa is a registered psychologist with over two decades helping organisations improve safety and performance. She uses evidence-based approaches, especially cognitive behavioural methods, to build psychological safety, trust and high-performing teams. She coaches leaders at every level, from executives to the frontline, and designs and facilitates leadership and safety programs grounded in the psychology of work. Known for authentic coaching and clear communication, Vanessa enables practical behaviour change and sustained cultural improvement, and mentors other psychologists in facilitation.

Garrick is a registered psychologist with master’s degrees in Organisational Psychology and Human Resource Management. He helps organisations in resources, energy and heavy industry build safer, higher performing teams through evidence based leadership development, psychometrics and change support. Working with leaders and frontline crews alike, he focuses on practical skills that strengthen psychological safety, trust and care. An experienced facilitator and coach, Garrick designs and delivers programs that turn insight into habits and support people to succeed at work.

Kieran is a psychologist and facilitator with 35 years of experience across resources, mining and heavy industry. A former criminal investigator and police negotiator, he brings calm, evidence based practice to safety leadership, conflict resolution and cultural change. Harvard trained in negotiation and accredited as a mediator and coach, Kieran helps leaders navigate complex dynamics, build trust and care, and create conditions for psychological safety and strong performance. He deciphers motivations, removes barriers and turns insight into habits that stick.

Mark is a leadership coach and facilitator with over 16 years’ global experience in high-hazard industries. Starting in construction, he saw the real cost when safety slips, shaping a career-long focus on care-led leadership. He coaches executives and frontline leaders to turn intent into evidence-based habits that protect people and performance. Simon brings 30 years’ international experience in safety leadership, operational excellence and cultural transformation. He has led large-scale programs for global clients in the Middle East and beyond, including mega-projects with more than 50,000 workers. He builds trust and clear accountability, embedding everyday leadership habits that lift safety, learning and performance. Partnering with executives and frontline teams across healthcare, resources, construction and manufacturing, he delivers reliable results under pressure with practical coaching and rigorous follow through.

Anna is a clinical psychologist, speaker and consultant with over 20 years in leadership and organisational development. She builds psychological safety and innovation capability across safety-critical environments and global companies including ASSA ABLOY, Ericsson, ICA and Mölnlycke Healthcare. Drawing on clinical and organisational practice, she translates research into simple tools that help teams challenge assumptions, solve problems and deliver change. Anna equips leaders and employees to make innovation repeatable, strengthen trust and care, and move from intent to measurable results.

Kym

Psychologist and Senior Program Facilitator 

Kym is a registered organisational psychologist and senior facilitator with 23 years in organisational development. She helps leaders build trust, care and psychological safety, drawing on cognitive behavioural principles and extensive coaching experience. Kym designs leadership programs and learning platforms, coaching senior teams in self and social awareness, advanced communication, diversity of thought and team dynamics. Currently completing doctoral studies, she brings an evidence-based, down to earth style that turns research into practical habits that lift culture and performance.

Fergus

Advisory Board

Fergus is a chartered accountant and founding partner of Brain Partners. He supports GYST’s governance and strategic decision-making on cross-border finance, tax and structuring across Australia, the UK and the US. Drawing on global roles with Deloitte, BNP Paribas, Värde Partners and ANZ, he brings rigorous analysis, transfer pricing and compliance expertise. Fergus holds dual AU/UK memberships and is a registered tax agent. His advice balances risk, transparency and growth, enabling confident decisions on complex, multi-jurisdiction matters.

Paul

Legal Counsel

Paul is a corporate adviser and commercial lawyer who supports GYST’s governance and strategic decision-making. Former Group General Counsel and Assistant Company Secretary at ALS Limited, he now leads HenryMae, advising ASX-listed and growth companies on M&A, complex commercial arrangements and disputes. Paul has completed more than 60 acquisitions across Australia, Asia, North America, the Middle East and Europe, and helps organisations shape modern slavery strategies and reporting. He brings pragmatic, board-ready advice that balances risk, value and ethics.

Warren

Advisory Board

Warren brings more than 35 years of experience in business strategy and M&A advisory, developed across client, advisor, and financier roles in the UK, US, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. His career highlights include serving as a corporate finance partner at EY and Arthur Andersen, Managing Director of an early-stage private equity fund in Sydney, and representing a family office in London and New York. He has also shared his expertise as an adjunct lecturer in the MBA programs at Macquarie University (MGSM) and the University of Sydney Business School.
