Scope: ~1,000 employees, over 2 million work hours per year
 
The Challenge: The organisation faced a directive, punitive leadership culture where employees struggled to connect the concept of “care” with daily behaviours, despite strong formal safety standards.
 
The Goal: To evolve into a flatter, more accountable culture that fostered open communication while embedding Critical Control Management and broader safety practices across the workforce.
 
The Solution: Full rollout of the CareFactor Program, including:
  • 9 × 2-day leadership workshops (169 leaders).
  • 17 × 1-day workforce workshops (306 workforce participants).
  • 35 total facilitation days delivered on site over 2 months by senior facilitator.
  • Critical Control Management messaging embedded within the CareFactorTM framework and a sustainable plan, incorporating practical tools, refresher programs, and champion development established.
The Impact:
  • 405 employees trained, with overwhelmingly positive feedback on relevance, delivery, and impact.
  • Stronger morale and trust reported by leaders, with improved accountability and psychological safety across teams.
  • Workforce behavioural shift: greater confidence to speak up, report near misses, and challenge unsafe practices - establishing a model now ready for global replication.

Scope: ~657 participants to date across leadership and workforce levels, ongoing quarterly refreshers
 
The Challenge: The organisation experienced an increase in physical and psychosocial injuries, caused both by external factors (public interactions with staff) and internal factors (political decisions, declining staff trust, morale, and psychological safety).
 
The Goal: To embed a new approach to leadership and safety, moving away from reactive and punitive responses, and build psychological safety, trust, and resilience at all levels — from executives to frontline staff.
 
The Solution: A tailored three phase CareFactor Program roll-out to executive team, frontline leaders and broader workforce including:
  • 16 × 2-day Leadership & Safety Development Workshops.
  • 26 × 1-day Workforce Engagement Sessions.
  • Ongoing quarterly workshops for new employees and refreshers.
